I Decide To Spend My Extra Hour Of Daylight In Eating Cereal Indoors

Attention, please. I have an announcement to make.

Today, due to Daylight Savings Time, the clocks have “sprung ahead,” affording me one extra hour of daylight (the hour from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) to do with what I wish. This is a decision I do not take lightly, but after much deliberation, I have come up with a plan for what I will do with the one hour.

I am going to eat cereal in my apartment with the blinds drawn.

Though a lot of thought went into this decision, ultimately, my reasons for using my extra daylight hour to eat cereal inside in dim lighting are simple:

1. It’s what I’m doing already.
2. I have more cereal left.
3. I don’t feel like getting up.

My options for this hour were too numerous to list. I could have gone for a walk around my neighborhood, gone running in the park, eaten cereal in my apartment with the blinds open, etc. But eating cereal with the blinds drawn was the thing that immediately jumped out at me, and I had to just go with my gut.

As for the future extra hours of daylight that I will be afforded until the next Daylight Savings Time in the fall, I have yet to decide how I am going to use them. But we can both probably guess.
